Change slots or RAM: how prorating worksIllustration: RoxServers guide overview.

You can change the slot count, or RAM depending on the game, at any time. Slots limit simultaneous players; RAM is memory available to the server.

Request a change

  1. Open Services and select the server.
  2. Choose the available package or configurable-options upgrade/downgrade action.
  3. Check the resources, pricing and summary before confirmation. Contact support with your service reference if an option is missing.

Increasing resources

An additional payment covers the difference prorated over the days remaining before renewal. Subsequent renewals use the new rate.

Reducing resources

The prorated difference is refunded as client account credit. This is not an automatic bank refund.

Before reducing memory

Check actual usage and the modpack's requirements. Too little RAM can prevent startup or cause a crash. Keep a backup and ask support about sizing when needed. Exact amounts depend on the service and billing period.
