Minecraft RAM or Slots: which plan?

· RoxServers

Understand the difference between memory-based plans and player-slot plans.

Two different limits

A RAM plan sets memory allocation. A Slots plan sets a maximum number of connected players. The two describe different things: worlds with identical player counts can have very different needs depending on mods, entities and exploration.

Read the full conditions

RoxServers RAM plans offer 1 to 8 GB. For Slots plans, read the comparison notes on memory allocation and increases. An advertised maximum does not mean all of that memory is permanently reserved. Also compare file access, backups, project compatibility and commercial conditions.

Prepare your choice

List your version, mods, typical simultaneous players and expected peaks. Allow an appropriate margin and distinguish registered players from connected players. Contact support before ordering if your project exceeds RAM plan limits. Check conditions and back up files before changing plans.
