Overriding the default PHP values

This article will show you how to override the default server PHP values on your cPanel hosting account.

How it works

Global PHP variables are configured on the cPanel server itself with default settings. However some content management systems (e.g. Wordpress, Joomla etc.) may need you to amend these settings.


Steps:

  1. Login to cPanel
  2. Open File Manager 
  3. Locate the existing php.ini file or create a new one in your public_html folder 
  4. Customise the php.ini file in the Code Editor
